Happy Thanksgiving

I had a Thanksgiving dinner with my friends.  We cook Thai foods, including fried rice, grill chicken, Hor-Mok, padthai, grill sausage, tomyum, and other snack.  There was no turkey because we didn’t have time to cook it.  After the dinner, we played poker (Texas hold’em).  I tough them to play.  It’s really fun.

For this Thanksgiving, I would like to thanks:

Thanks my parents who gave me an opportunity coming to the America, support me.

Thanks my brothers who help me with everything.

Thanks all my teachers and boss

Thanks my sister

Thanks all my friends

Thanks Buddha and Duntrin who help me get through bad days.

โกหกตามมารยาทเป็นการผิดศีลข้อมุสาวาทหรือเปล่า?

ถาม – การพูดตามมารยาทที่ต้องโกหก เช่น ต้องการรักษาน้ำใจ เขาชวนมา ใจเราไม่เอาด้วยแน่ๆ แต่ก็บอกว่าไว้คราวหน้าเถอะ หรือเขาถามว่าชุดใหม่สวยไหม ถามอย่างภูมิใจทีเดียว เราเห็นแล้วนึกร้องยี้ตั้งแต่เข้าประตูมาแล้ว แต่กลัวเขาเสียใจ เลยต้องอ้อมแอ้มตอบยิ้มๆว่าเข้าทีนี่ อย่างนี้ถือเป็นการผิดศีลข้อมุสาวาทหรือเปล่าคะ?

คำสำคัญในคำถามของคุณคือ ‘ต้องการรักษาน้ำใจ’ อันนั้นส่องถึงเจตนาไม่ให้เขาเสียใจ ไม่ใช่ว่าจงใจพูดคำเท็จทั้งรู้อยู่ว่าไม่จริง

ผมจะยกตัวอย่างเพื่อให้เปรียบเทียบง่ายขึ้น สมมุติคุณรู้ดี ว่าเจ้านายชอบให้ชมชุดใหม่ คุณกำหนดไว้ในใจเลย เมื่อไรเห็นชุดใหม่ เมื่อนั้นรีบชมทันที โดยไม่ต้องสนใจว่าของจะสวยหรือไม่สวย ด้วยความหวังว่าเจ้านายจะได้โปรด ขออะไรจะได้ให้ อันนี้เท่ากับคุณติดตั้งตัวโกหกถาวรไว้ในปากเรียบร้อย คุณพร้อมที่จะพูดไม่จริงเพื่อผลประโยชน์ของตนเอง ไม่ใช่พูดเพื่อรักษาประโยชน์ของคนอื่น

เรื่องการพูดตามมารยาท หรือพูดเพื่อรักษาน้ำใจนั้น คุณไม่จำเป็นต้องพูดเท็จก็ได้ครับ เช่นแทนที่จะบอกว่า ‘ไว้คราวหน้า’ ก็อาจลดระดับการให้ความหวังลงมาเป็น ‘เอาไว้ให้พร้อมก่อนนะ’ หรือแทนที่จะอ้อมแอ้มว่า ‘สวยดี’ หรือ ‘เข้าทีนี่’ ก็เปลี่ยนเป็นการเล็งรายละเอียดจุดใดจุดหนึ่งที่คุณเห็นว่าดีจริงๆ แล้วชมแบบเจาะจง เช่น ‘โห! สีตัดกันเตะตาขนาดนี้ไม่ค่อยเห็นที่ไหนเลยนะ’ การชมที่ไม่เกินจริง มีความจริงอยู่ในคำ จะทำให้คุณสร้างคำพูดตามมารยาทหรือรักษาน้ำใจได้มากมายโดยที่ปากกับใจยังตรงกันอยู่ คุณจะสบายใจว่าวาจาไม่เป็นเหตุให้จิตบิดเบี้ยว เห็นความจริงผิดเพี้ยนไปแม้แต่นิดเดียวครับ
