แผ่นดินไหว

วันนี้ขณะทีี่ผมกำลังนอนอยู่ (ไม่ได้ไปทำงาน), ผมก็รู้สึกว่าตึกมันสั่น และมีเสียงดังมาก. ก็เลยรู้ว่ามีแผ่นดินไหว (ข่าวบอกว่าประมาณ 5.4-5.8 at Chino hill where is about 45 min from Riverside). ผมเลยต้องรีบออกจากห้อง แต่ในใจก็คิดว่า จะต้องเอา:

• Emergency kit: นึกไม่ออกว่าอยู่ไหน เลยไม่ได้หยิบ
• Notebook: อยู่ข้างๆ เลยคว้าได้
• Wallet: อยู่ข้างๆ เลยคว้าได้
• Cell phone: อยู่ข้างๆ เลยคว้าได้
• Passport: นึกออกว่่าอยู่ในลิ้นชัก แต่ขี้เกียจหยิบ
• Car key: ลืมนึกไปเลย

สงสัยผมต้องเตรียม Emergency Plan ให้ดีกว่านี้หน่อย. อยู่ California จะต้องเจอแผ่นดินไหวบ่อยๆ.  

เอารูป Emergency kit มาให้ดู. ถ่ายไว้ตั้งนานแล้ว.

Clean cut

เช้าวันนี้ ขณะที่กำลังเก็บตัวอย่างแรกจากตันองุ่นในกรีนเฮ้าส โดยที่ผมต้องใช้ใบมีดตัด ก็พลาดไปตัดโดนนิิ้วของตัวเอง. ก็เลยต้องขับไป Student Health Center ให้หมอแยบแผลกันแต่เช้า.

หมอบอกเกือบโดนเส้นเลิือดแดง, แค่นี้เลือดก็ไหลไม่หยุดแล้วครับ.  ขณะแยบแผล หมอ, พยาบาล และผมก็คุยกันสนุกสนานเรื่อง National Parks in California and Utah. ของหมอถ่ายรูปก็ไม่มีปัญหาอะไร.

โดนแยบไป 8 เข็ม ตอนนี้ยังไม่รู้สึกเจ็บเท่าไหร่  แต่คืนนี้คงจะ จิ้ด จิ้ด จิ้ด ตลอดทัั้งคืน.

iPhone 2.0

This weekend is too short. On Saturday I took my friends to Apple store to get a new MacBook. She also got a free iPod Touch ($299) and free printer ($99)….(after rebate). And we went to Sport Center to buy camping gear (sleeping bag and lamp). I already got a tent.

 (Cleaning up a tent. I got it for free from other Thai student)

On Sunday, I got a good news that we could unlocked and jailbroken the first gen iPhone (for new iPhone 2.0 software). I started the process since last night, but I encountered problems. First, the program couldn’t load. In the morning, some guy post a solution on the web. So I passed that. Second, it couldn’t see as DFU. I went back to the web and looked for a solution. It’s posted. Finally I’d got my iPhone unlocked. The new feature (iPhone App) was great.
