จริงๆแล้วก็ไม่อยากจะเขียนบทความนี้เท่าไหร่ เพราะอาจจะก่อไม่เกิดความเข้าใจผิดและผลลัพธืที่ไม่ดี แต่ก่อน ผมตั้ง RSS feed ของ facthai ไว้ และผมก็อ่าน facthai และก็ comment ด้วย แต่ปัจจุบันนี้ผมไม่ได้อ่านเลย ผมยังอยากจะอ่านบทความดีๆ และความเห็นที่ดีๆ จาก facthai เลยต้องขอแสดงความเห็นเกี่ยวกับ blog facthai (just comment, เพื่อทิศทางที่ดีขึ้น และผมก็จะได้อ่านด้วย)
ปัญหา:
- บทความยาวมากๆๆๆๆ อ่านแล้วเซ็ง….
- มีบทความมากเกินไปในหนึ่งวัน หนึ่งสัปดาห์ ไม่มีเรื่องอะไรเด่นๆ
- บทความที่นำมา post ล้วนแต่เป็นข่าวจาก website อื่นๆ แค่ cut and paste!!!!! จริงๆแล้วควรใส่แค่ link ก็พอ…ไปดูเองได้ และอาจจะคัดลอกเฉพาะส่วนที่สำคัญๆ (แล้วก็ใส่ quotation)
- การ link ไปถึง original article ถือว่าเป็นการให้เกียรติกับ author. ทาง website อยากจะได้ traffic เยอะ นะครับ
- factthai ไม่เคย response my comment

บนนั้นจะมีปุ่ม paste จาก word คือเขียนใน word ด้วยฟอนท์ที่ต้องการ แล้ว paste ด้วยปุ่มนี้
แต่จะทำให้เปลืองเวลาอัพขึ้นอีกนิดหน่อย
(จ่ายค่าลิขสิทธิ์เป็นกล้วยปั่นสักแก้ว..ดีไหมขอรับ?)

ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเรื่องการเมือง บางทีอ่านแล้วก็เบื่อเหมือนกัน คือรับรู้แล้วทำอะไรต่อไม่ได้
เห็นด้วยคร้าบ link ยาวมากๆ แล้วบางที copy ทั้งดุ้นเลย อย่างที่คุณ lek บอกอ่ะครับ ทีหลังทำ link ไปอย่างเดียวก็ได้ครับ จริงๆ เคยประทับใจนะครับ แต่เดี๋ยวนี้การเมืองมันแรงอ่านไปอ่านมาปวดหัวอ่ะครับ ยิ่งอ่านก็ยิ่งเครียดอีก ขอให้ความเห็นเท่านี้คร้าบ
Thank you to Lek & others in trying to help make FACThai a more useful site.
Problems we have:
1) VERY few Thai contributions. By default, this has made us an international rather than a THAI site. This is bad! Corollary: Will you help?
2) FACT receives MANY emails every day regarding international censorship, media and freedom of expression issues. In addition, we scan local English & some international media to select articles we don’t think the ordinary reader in Thailand would ever see.
3) By putting all these articles into one coherent site, FACT is attempting to serve as a clearinghouse for human rights and civil liberties issues in a way not provided by one single other website worldwide.
4) We’re ALL busy! Of course, the articles are long because the issues are so important to our basic freedoms. They would be no shorter if you read them on their original websites. Part of the reason we quote an entire article is to be able to provide the reader the benefits of our informed commentary. Usually, we try to show our commentary and the first bit of an article to make some sense to see if the reader wants to read further. We ONLY show the complete article when we think the issue is URGENT to people in Thailand.
We ALWAYS give attribution by author and source. We’ve been a little lazy about the links–corrected thanks to Lek!
EVERYONE can do something about standing up for our freedoms. Politics is a headache. We always have the choice to do nothing. But if we aren’t STRONG, nothing will ever get any better!
We were not aware so many people relied on our RSS! More of these dedicated, interested folks should SIGN FACT’S PETITION!
We will try a few of those methods suggested by Lek & others as we get the inspiration. We’ll need feedback about whether this meets your information needs…or not! And FACT needs input and news from ALL OF YOU!

Too bad what you are doing right now is driving the readers away. Who are your targets, Thais or Foreigners?
If Thais, you know that we are not good at English.
If foreigners, you know that they don’t like copy and paste.

Thanks to Lek for pointing out this vital issue which is important to many FACT readers.
FACT aims to be a THAI site. However, my Thai is shamefully limited and I do most of the posting. I think it crucial that Thais are aware that censorship of all kinds is a worldwide issue and so I try to post international news. A bilingual site makes news accessible to international readers. Above all, we want FACT to be an ACTIVIST site.
Censorship & freedom of expression are simply rarely reported in the Thai press. Can you help? It’s going to take ALL of us to stop censorship!
I didn’t like 43folders; would rather have wordy than busy. Prefer Matthew Hunt’s excellent, minimalist anti-censorship blog http://www.matthewhunt.com/blog/labels/censorship.html. Mat is far more artistic than I and I find myself wanting to know more about many of his posts but the blog doesn’t point us to find out.
I have posted in a new style to FACTsite. I need feedback from ALL of you as to whether it meets your needs. Changes?
One big concern is that the links will eventually die. This is particularly true of BKK Post which links die in 24 hours. So what’s the good of posting them. By NOT posting the entire article, FACT readers will never be able to find it again.
Thanks for your comments about my blog. I decided not to include links for the same reason you mentioned – that they’re often dead links within days. Instead, many of my posts have an icon at the bottom (a book, a gramophone, a computer, a camera, a movie camera) – clicking on these icons, you can download a file which contains whatever that blog post is discussing.
